Benvic CC wins the 2017/2018 ODI championship Shield in Port Harcourt league with one game to spare

Panthers CC vs Benvic CC (24th February 2018)

Benvic CC won the toss and elected to bat first scoring a total of 110 runs all out in 22.5 overs.

Henry Oko-Jaja 18 runs and Adokiye Reuben 17 runs not out were the only double figures for Benvic CC.

Doumotimi Erelayefa of Panthers CC was the star performer with the ball taking 7 wickets for 10 runs in 7 overs

 

In the second innings, Panthers CC Batsmen could not muster the courage to settle down as Benvic Bowlers ran through them surprisingly bowling them all out for 60 runs all out in 22.4 overs

Tamuno John 4 wickets, Tonye Timinadi 3 wickets and Ifeanyi Uboh 2 wickets for Benvic CC was enough to secure victory.

Doumotimi Erelayefa of Panthers CC won Man of the match award for his 7 wickets haul.

Benvic CC won by 50 Runs

   

K-11 CC vs Whales CC 25th February 2018

K-11 CC won the toss and elected to bat scoring 124 runs all out in 28.5 overs.

Jotham Micah was top scorer with 42 runs.

Sushant with 3 wickets and the trio of Fyneface, George Izulu and Mohit all got 2 wickets respectively for Whales CC.

In the second innings, Whales CC began slowly but surely to record their 2nd victory of the season after scoring 126 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 32.2 overs.

Success Nwogor 29 runs not out, Blessing Bruce 24 runs and Rajesh 21 runs was enough to secure a hard fought victory for Whales CC.

Benjamin Simon with 4 wickets was the best bowling effort for K-11 CC
