The Nigeria Men’s Cricket Team will begin its quest for a World Cup berth in the T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier against Kenya, a circular issued by Mr Kuben Pillay of ICC Africa verified this.
According to the Circular, Nigeria will play her first game on Thursday, November 23rd, at 10 a.m. at the United Pitch, and at the Wanderers Pitch on Friday at the same time, the YellowGreens will take on Rwanda as well.
Other games include a Sunday afternoon match against Tanzania and a Monday match against Uganda. Wednesday, the game against Zimbabwe will take place on Wednesday, November 29th, while the Yellow Greens’ last game will take place on Thursday, November 30th against the host country, Namibia.
Meanwhile, one of Nigeria’s top umpires, Kehinde Olanbiwonnu, has been appointed as one of the ten (10) umpires chosen to oversee the game, which begins on November 20th and concludes on November 30th, 2023.
