The South-East representative on the N.C.F Mr. Chika Okoro has continued his passion for Cricket development in the zone with major practice facilities undergoing construction.
Training facilities tagged “Project Nets”, is aimed at establishing practice nets in all states across the zone to improve bating and bowling skills. The construction of these practice nets which has already began is located at strategic schools in various states which will be regarded as pilot schools from which the game will spread to other parts;
The nets already constructed include:
- Trinity Secondary School Iboko, Izil local government area and Government College Afikpo Both in Ebonyi State .
- Emene boys Secondary School, Enugu State.
“Project Net” is set to spread to other States in the South East zone in due course.
Good venture there from the Member representing the South East zone in the Board of the NCF Mr Chika Okoro… More projects like these are needed around schools in the country to propagate the growth of cricket in Nigeria!!!
The North should also look in this direction for Facility development because even when coaches are not around, the players can always have personal training sessions
