Nigeria will host the ICC World Twenty20 Africa Qualifier A at the prestigious Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval in Lagos from the 14th to 21st April 2018.
Teams arrive from today with Nigeria facing Sierra Leone in the tournament opener on Saturday morning. Ghana will play The Gambia in the afternoon match.
The Gambia takes on Nigeria at 9 30 on Sunday morning while Sierra Leone will battle Ghana at 1 50pm.
The much awaited qualifier will see each team play each other twice. The top 2 teams will qualify for the ICC World Twenty20 Africa Qualifier to be held in 2019.
Ghana represented Africa in the last pathway to the World Cup. With 2 spots at the regional qualifier in 2019 up for grabs all four teams will feel they have a chance in this 20 over format.
