OGUN STATE CRICKET FOUNDATION ORGANISED THE 1ST EDITION OF THE ALAKE OF EGBA LAND PRIMARY SCHOOL CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP.

The competition was organized by Ogun State Cricket Foundation and started on Thursday 19th July, 2018 at about 10.00am with all invited schools teams present, the Technical representative Mr. Taiwo Oladunjoye welcomed all the participating teams and quickly informed all the teams about the rules and regulation with the game format which was a round robin, and overs to be played in the preliminaries and also in the finals. 5 schools participated in the competition. The teams were balloted and the captains given the opportunity to pick for the fixtures to be drawn.

St Paul’s demonstration school won the toss and chooses to field first sending St Anne’s School to bat scoring 26 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 8 overs while St Paul’s demonstration school played 27 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 6 overs.

Game 2 (O.L.A vs U.B.E)

UBE model Nursery and Primary school won the toss and choose to bat scoring 45 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in 8 overs while Our Lady of Apostle scored 16 runs all out in 8 overs.

The competition was concluded with the awards presentation and the Trophy donated by the Nigeria Cricket Federation represented by the south-west Regional Development officer in person of Mr. Abiola Cardoso who also donates a tracksuit that was presented to the Man of the series.
