The Nigeria Cricket Federation under the leadership of Prof. Yahaya Ukwenya have taken yet another giant stride in the growth and development of the sport in Nigeria. The re-construction of the two (2) Abuja National Stadium Cricket ovals went into full swing in a bid to upgrade the pitches to ICC world standard.
Benefits of Facility constructions include, better playing and practice pitches in preparation for international tournaments, Increase chances of hosting international tournaments in Nigeria and lots more.
The pitches are currently undergoing, Turf surface re-modelling /upgrade, outfield re-grassing and drainage construction.
Progress of work done will be reported accordingly.
