Nigeria to play in the Group D of the Africa T20 cup

The Senior National Cricket team of Nigeria is to play in the Group D of the Africa T20 cup which will take place from 14th to 16th September 2018 in South Africa.

 

In a draw that was done on Tuesday 7th August in South Africa, Nigeria is to play with teams like Boland, North West, Northern Cape and Limpopo.

 

For the first time in this championship, 5 Africa countries will be represented. Ghana, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Kenya are among the countries that will join 15 teams from 9 provinces in South Africa that will compete in the 4th edition of the event which is expanded to help improve the standard of Cricket in the continent.

 

The tournament will consist of four pools of five teams, with the group round taking place over the weekend of 14-16 September at four different venues. Winners from each pool will advance to the knockout phase set to take place on 23- 24 September.
