- Nigeria invited to participate in the Africa T-20 cup in Paarl, South Africa

The Nigeria National team will feature for the first time at the Africa T-20 cup invitational tournament in South Africa. The tournament will consist of four pools of five teams, with the group round taking place over the weekend of 14-16 September at four different venues. Winners from each pool will advance to the knockout phase set to take place on 23- 24 September. Nigeria has been balloted into group D alongside Boland, North West, Northern Cape and Limpopo. Other Africa countries to participate are Kenya, Uganda, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
The final batch of the senior national team left the shores of Nigeria on the 8th of September for a pre-tournament tour in Cape Town before heading to Paarl for the tournament proper. 4 players from the victorious U-19 side have also been drafted into the team.
13 players, 2 development players, Team Manager, Coach and the Acting General Manager are to represent the Country.
While in Cape Town for the competition, the General Manager is expected to also interface with Cricket South Africa on administrative matters in line with the ICC plans and expectations for Nigeria.
