DAY 2: BOYS 

Edo State vs FCT

FCT arrived match venue late and lost the right to toss thereby seeding to Edo State the decision to bat or bowl first. Edo scored a total of 200 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs

Selim Salau was exceptional with the bat scoring a total of 79 runs not out strongly supported by David Ogbimi (35) runs and Solomon Chilemanya (26) runs.

 

In the second innings, Edo State sent FCT to the cleaners after restricting them to a meager score of 34 runs all out in 5.4 overs

Ogbemudia Eweka continued his impressive bowling display with another 3 wicket haul supported by Godsfavour Okoro with 3 wickets as well.

Edo State won by 165 runs and secures a medal position.

Oyo State vs Kaduna State

Oyo State won the toss and elected to field sending in Kaduna State to bat. Kaduna scored a total of 101 runs all out in 20 overs.

Theophilus Jeremiah 31 runs and Joshua Ajisebutu 18 runs we the major contributors with the bat for Kaduna State.

In the second innings, a resilient and persistent Oyo team overcame an early scare to chase down the required total, taking the game to the very last ball of the match. Oyo State who lost to Edo State by 1 run yesterday became the triumphant team with just 1 run today recording 102 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.

Ebonyi state having concluded registration and accreditation won the toss and elected to field sending in Rivers State to bat. Rivers State scored a total of 37 runs all out in 9.1 overs.

Purisma Igwe of Ebonyi state stole the show with 8 Wickets haul

 

In the second innings, Eboyin state chased down the required total scoring 39 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 8 overs.

Ebonyi State won by 7 wickets.

 

Kwara State vs Ogun State

Kwara State won the toss and elected to bat scoring a total of 109 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.

In the second innings, Ogun state chased down the game to score a total of 110 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 19.1 overs
