The Distinguished Vice President of Nigeria Cricket Federation who also doubles as the Chairman, Edo State Cricket Association Mr. Uyi Akpata, embarked on a 1 day Inspection visit to the Adolor College Cricket Oval in Benin City, Edo State on Saturday 14th November 2020. He was accompanied by Godwin Dudu- Orumen Esq. Chairman of Edo State Sports Commission, and Oviawe Abraham Esq., Vice Chairman of Edo State Cricket Association.
Mr Akpata took time to inspect the Turf wicket and other facilities ahead of the National Sports Festival and the National U-17 championship slated for December 2020 and January 2021 respectively. Also present was Mr. Uthe Ogbimi, Nigeria National team coach and other State Coaches. The visit also coincided with the training sessions of the state (Under 9, 13, 15, 17 Boys & Girls, State Senior Male and Female Team). The Vice President also used the opportunity to have an interactive session with the players and he expressed satisfaction at the condition of the Turf wicket and the determination expressed by the players and the coaching crew.
