The 11th South East Cricket Championship for Chuma Anosike Cup is the buzz of the moment as states in the southeast zone gear up for a show of cricket prowess in the over-a-decade-long cricket fiesta. This year’s competition is unprecedented as the 5 states in the southeast zone are coming with teams in both male and female categories – Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo state.
The tournament hopes to showcase national team players who have signed up to play for designated states according to the rules of the tournament. Notable players to be featured include Ebonyi state young female sensation, Lilian Ude. Edo state-born national team opening bowler, Prosper Useni. Anambra’s national under-17 fast bowler, Udekwe Chiemelie, Imo State-born national team batsman, Samuel Mba amongst other rising stars that we need to watch out for.
Actions will run from Monday, 11th April, and crescendo to the finals and closing ceremony on Thursday, 14th April 2022.
