Nigeria overcame a nerve wrecking match against West Africa arch rivals  Sierra Leone when they booked their semi final ticket against Malawi during the final group B game in Abuja. Nigeria posted 184 runs all out in 47.5 overs in he first innings with superb bating performance from Selim Salau and Paul Pam who together put up an opening partnership of 101 runs.

John Bagura, captain of Sierra Leone responded accordingly in the second innings with an unbroken 89 runs, but he could not find the anchor from his team mates to help them seal victory against Nigeria. Sierra Leone fell agonizingly short of the required total by just 11 runs.

Nigeria will play Malawi in the Semi-final while Sierra Leone will have to battle the inform Kenya team.
