No love lost, no more stories to tell and no more fairytales…all is now set to get the games going in Tanzania as 6 Captains share a last friendly pose with the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup Africa Division 1 Qualifier Trophy.
Nigeria will open proceedings against West Africa Rivals Sierra Leone on Monday 24th July at 7:30 Nigeria time and will then battle Namibia, Uganda, Kenya and host Tanzania in the next 8 days.
Captain of the Nigeria side Ridwan in his Pre-tournament interview said he is optimistic that the trophy and qualification slot will return with the team to Nigeria and he believes his side is mentally, physically and professionally ready to do battle.
Drawing from the 2019 exploits in Windhoek Namibia when Nigeria qualified for her maiden U-19 World Cup, the Federation has put all measures in place to ensure that the lads are focused on delivering on the assignment.
