Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF), the official governing body for cricket in Nigeria is announcing the opening for the role of Head Coach Senior Men’s Team & High Performance Manager. This role will provide strategic and technical leadership for Nigeria’s National Men’s and Women’s cricket program. The role is responsible for overseeing coaching strategies, elite player preparation, performance pathways, and long-term high-performance planning to enhance Nigeria’s competitiveness at continental and global levels aligned with ICC standards and best practices.

Location: Lagos and Abuja Nigeria with travel to other cricket hubs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
High-Performance Leadership
● Lead and oversee Nigeria’s national high-performance cricket framework across all formats.
● Design, implement, and continuously improve performance systems aligned with ICC guidelines and international best practices.
● Establish a strong high-performance culture grounded in discipline, professionalism, accountability, and excellence.
Coaching & Competitive Performance
● Prepare, coach, and lead Nigeria’s national teams for ICC events and regional competitions.
● Develop and execute tactical and technical strategies tailored to Nigerian conditions and talent profiles.
● Lead match preparation, training camps, tours, performance reviews, and post-competition evaluations.
Talent Development & Player Pathways
● Strengthen national talent identification systems and long-term player development pathways.
● Work closely with age-grade, academy, and domestic coaches to ensure alignment and continuity across all levels.
● Mentor local coaches and contribute to national coach education and capacity-building programmes.
People & Stakeholder Management
● Manage and coordinate national team support staff, including assistant coaches, analysts, medical personnel, and specialists.
● Collaborate effectively with selectors, performance analysts, and administrators.
● Represent the Nigeria Cricket Federation professionally with the ICC, sponsors, partners, and external stakeholders.
Governance, Integrity & Reporting
● Deliver structured performance reports, tour reviews, and annual high-performance plans.
● Ensure full compliance with NCF policies, governance standards, safeguarding requirements, and integrity frameworks.
● Support transparency, ethical conduct, and institutional accountability across national program.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
● Minimum Level 3 coaching qualification or equivalent (ICC, ECB, CA, or another recognized cricket board).
● 8–10 years minimum coaching experience, including exposure to high-performance or international cricket environments.
● Demonstrated success in elite player development and structured performance pathway systems.
● Strong understanding of modern cricket methodologies, performance analytics, sports science, and conditioning.
● Experience working within Associate or emerging cricket nations is an added advantage.
● Experience working with cricket nations holding ODI member status is an added advantage.
