In the first match between Gambia and Sierra Leone. Gambia won the toss and elected to bat. This match was very important for the teams as both teams needed a win in the tournament having lost two previous matches to Nigeria and Ghana.
Gambia started their batting badly losing a wicket in the first ball of the innings from the Sierra Leonian bowler, HR Bhamu. This really had a great effect on their batting as wickets kept falling. At the end of the first innings they batted 87 runs ,all out, in 18.3 overs. M Dumbuya topped the batting scores with 20 runs off 29 balls with a strike rate of 68.96.
AB Kamara took 3 wickets after bowling 4 overs and conceding 17 runs to top the bowling.

In the 2nd Innings, Sierra Leone, calm, and without pressure, had a smooth ride batting 89 runs in 12.5 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. AB Kamara batted 26 runs off 17 balls (not out) with a strike rate of 152.94 while I Mansaray supported the runs build-up with 25 runs off 24 balls with a strike rate of 104.16 to help his team, Sierra Leone, win their first match in the tournament by 8 wickets.

Match Day 3: Game 2.
The second game of the day was between Nigeria ans Ghana. At the end of the first innings, Nigeria batted 119 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Dotun Olatunji batted 46 runs off 30 balls with the strike rate of 153.33. Chimezie Onwuzulke took the runs up with 33 runs off 29 balls with a strike rate of 113.79.
DNA Ankrah took three wickets to help his team keep Nigeria at 119 runs
In the second innings, Ghana scored 120 runs in 19.5 overs to win the 20 overs game for the loss of 3 wickets in the most thrilling match, yet, in the tournament. S ATEAK scored 50 runs off 57 balls with a strike rate of 87.72 to guide his team to a win against the Nigerian side while J KWAKU VIFAH contributed 32 runs off 35 balls in the runs build-up with the strike rate of 91.43.
Ghana won the match by 7 wickets to remain undefeated after playing three matches in the tournament.
