Zimbabwe secured a comprehensive victory over Nigeria by 10 wickets in the last group game encounter.
Nigeria, having won the toss, opted to bat first and progressed very well in the opening exchanges, sitting comfortably at 28 runs after just 3 overs.
Injuries to Taiwo Mohammed that left him out of the selection for the day and Danladi Isaac who had to make an emergency exit during the match immediately affected the momentum of play and the Yellow could not recover, eventually succumbing to a meager score of 88 runs all out in 17.4 overs.
In response, Zimbabwe’s batting lineup displayed exceptional skill and experience, chasing down the target comfortably in just 16 overs for no wicket.
The Yellow Greens can be proud of their performance in this tournament having beaten Africa Number 3 and world number 11 in the ICC T-20 rankings and of course improvements in their over level of Cricket.
