Cricket Wildfire Spreads to North-West as Katsina State introduce the game to new schools:

The Catch them young program in the North West zone of the country went into full gear as several schools have been targeted in Katsina state with the sole aim of introducing a minimum of 500 kids to the game of Cricket over the next couple of months. Schools that have been identified include:

  • Government Secondary School
  • Government day Secondary School
  • Chief Emeka Oforh Junior and Senior Secondary School
  • Government College

Others include

  • Manufashi Secondary School
  • Army Day Secondary School
  • Government College Daura
  • Katsina Junior Secondary School and
  • Government Girls Secondary School

Game Masters/Mistresses and Teachers from these schools were also part of this Cricket introductory program.

The Catch them young program is sponsored by the President of the Federation Prof.Yahaya Adam Ukwenya and facilitated by the National Development Manager (Northern Region) Mr. Joseph Onoja.
