Day 5 results and reports from N.C.F T-20 Super league in Lagos as Team Kalada still searches for 1st victory

Day 5 – Game 7

Team Kalada vs Team Alakija

Team Kalada still searching for their first victory in the tournamanet.

Team Alakija won the toss and chose to bat first scoring a total of 152 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.

Onikoyi Ademola had a good knock of 47 runs off 20 balls, strongly supported by Taiwo Muhammed  with 37 runs off 43 balls

Iteogu Chibuike and Simon Samson had 2 wickets respectively for Team Kalada.

 

In the second Innings Team Kalada chased but fell short of the required total with a meager score of 99 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.

Seye Olympio was top performer with the bat scoring 46 runs off 42 balls and Sulaimon Runsewe 25 runs not out off 37 balls.

Kunle Awosanmi and Adewoye Vincent took 2 wickets respectively for team Alakija.

Team Kalada still without a victory.

 

Team Alakija won by 53 runs

 

 

Day 5 – Game 8

Team Nwokedi vs Team Alakija

 

Team Nwokedi won the toss and elected to bat first scoring an impressive total of 154 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs

 

Adu Bimbo’s scored 58 runs off 46 balls supported by Chimezie Onwuzulike with 27 runs not out off 8 balls were the top scorers for Team Nwokedi.

Sesan Adedeji took 2 wickets in 3 overs and conceded 30 runs.

 

In the second Innings, Team Alakija put up a decent fight in response to the required total needed to win the game but fell short painfully with a total score of 144 runs all out in 18.3 overs.

Seye Olympio top the scoring with 48 runs off 28 balls while Leke Oyede and Joshua Ayanaike scored 28 runs off 23 balls and 22 runs off 21 balls respectively.

 

Team Nwokedi won by 10 runs
