The Nigeria Cricket Federation have completed the first phase of the National Male camp in preparation for the ICC T-20 Sub-Regional Qualifier scheduled to hold from the 16th – 22nd April 2018 in Lagos. Earlier this month, 33 players from across the country were invited to camp for a high performance T-20 super league tournament in Lagos.

 

The players were selected into 3 teams namely Team Nwokedi, Team Kalada and Team Alakija with Team Nwokedi emerging as champions.

 

22 names have been shortlisted by the board of selectors from the T-20 Super League in preparation for the second phase camping which resumes on the 12th of March 2018 also in Lagos.

Expected to join the 22 players in camp are 3 foreign based players;

  • Saheed Akolade (Australia)
  • Sola Anya (United Kingdom)
  • Dotun Olatunji (Canada).

The 22 names shortlisted will be announced and published on a later date subject to N.C.F board approval.

 

Also expected in Nigeria is ICC Representative Mr Kuben Pilay, who will be inspecting the Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Facility, host venue for the ICC Sub-Regional T-20 Qualifiers in April. Mr Kuben will arrive Nigeria on Wednesday 28th February 2018 on a 3 days visit.
