Nigeria and Nigerians are filled with excitement looking forward to the Cricket fiesta in Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval Lagos, Nigeria – venue of the ICC Twenty20 Africa ‘A’ Qualifier tournament. The pavilion and playing area have been completely transformed to be at par with international standards, while pitch panels are all set to provide color and glamour to the tournament.

The ICC, NCF and all participating country flags are flying high at the venue to welcome all countries to the home of Cricket. Gambia, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Nigeria are in good shape hoping to deliver a spectacle at the highest level.

The Technical Committee Meeting

Speaking during the Technical Meeting on Friday 13th April 2018, the ICC Finance and Data Officer, who also doubles as the Tournament Director, Kuben Pillay, highlighted the format and schedule of the tournament to ensure that every team is on the same page for the matches that are set to kick-off Saturday, 14th April, 2018.

The Tournament Referee, Devdos Godringee emphasized on the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, ICC Clothing and Equipment Rules and Regulations, Interpretation of the Laws and Playing Conditions and Match Day Procedures. One of the highlight of the Match Day Procedure was that there will be a Player of the Match at the end of every game which will be decided by the seasoned and experienced umpires on ground.
