It was another pleasant surprising day for the Principals (Senior and Junior), Staff, Students of Edo Boys High School, Cricket family and friends in Edo State as Mrs. Frances O. A., the Executive Director of Promoting Ethics Through Sports (PETS) Foundation, formally commissioned and presented Four (4) Hand Washing and Sanitizing Machines to Edo State Cricket Association and Edo Boys High School at the School premises in Ugbowo, Benin City.

The School Principals; Mr. Aghado N. J., (Senior School), Mr. Omoregie G. O., (Junior School) and a Board Member of the Association, Mr. Uthe Ogbimi were on ground to receive the machines.

According to the school principal Mr. Aghado N.J “We are all happy and grateful to PETS Foundation for the timely intervention and support to the School and Association with such standard machines at this critical time and season that Covid-19 pandemic is ravaging nations and threatening health safety and total wellbeing of humanity” .

Edo State Cricket Association recently began a series of lectures and training on the guidelines to return to Cricket in the state. All safety measures to be put in place have become sacrosanct, with the hand washing machines and sanitizers being part of other precautions to be taken before Cricket can return fully.

Players while reacting to the development could not hide their excitement saying there is light at the end of the tunnel as they would resume cricket activities soonest.

Special prayers and thanks were sent to Mr. Uyi Akpata, the Distinguished Vice President, Nigeria Cricket Federation and Chairman Edo State Cricket Association on behalf of the entire Staff/ Students of the School and Cricket Family/ Fans in Edo State and beyond.
