NIGERIA POISED AS ICC MEN’S WORLD CUP TROPHY IS SET TO TOUR THE CITIES OF ABUJA AND LAGOS
Nigeria Cricket Federation is set to host the ICC Men’s World Cup Trophy once again with the trophy expected to tour the cities of Abuja and Lagos later this month.
Although Nigeria will not be participating in the World Cup scheduled for in India in 2023, the idea to tour the country for the second time in 4 years is a reflection of the tremendous growth and development of the sport in Nigeria and our achievements at both the local and international stages. For this year’s trophy tour, the mandate from the ICC is to reflect the huge traditional and cultural heritage of the Africa continent.
The trophy will be displayed in Abuja on the 29th and Lagos on the 30th of August 2023.
