Rwanda won the toss and elected to bat.

The first innings saw Rwanda who batted first and posted a total of 88 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

In response, the female YellowGreens recorded 49 runs losing 4 wickets,  with a boundary four from Christabel Chukwuonye before rain interrupted play which led to the umpires calling for the covers, Nigeria were ahead with 3 runs using the DLS (Duckworth-Lewis-Stern) method to determine the revised target.

Key Performance of Lucky Piety 4 overs 13 runs and 2 wickets, and Peculiar Agboya was instrumental in Nigeria’s victory, earning both the ICCWT20WCAQ Player of the Match and NCf Player of the Match awards.
Agboya bowled impressively, conceding only 13 runs and taking 3 wickets in her 4 overs, she also contributed with the bat, scoring 19 runs off 17 balls.
