After Team Nigeria’s remarkable performance in the ICC Women’s T2O Africa Qualifiers in Uganda, the Uganda Cricket Association has granted six slots to Nigeria’s national cricket players to participate in the prestigious Uganda Elite Games, in February 2024.

The Federation has endorsed players such as Isaac Okpe, Chiemelie Udekwe, and Isaac Danladi for the Men’s Team, while Lucky Piety, Eseigbe Favour, and Etim Sarah will showcase their skills for the Females.

This initiative is part of a High-Performance program aiming to provide Nigerian cricketers with opportunities to compete in elite leagues across the top cricket-playing nations in the continent.

In addition to serving as preparation for the upcoming Nigeria Female Invitational in Lagos from February 25th to March 3rd, the event also acts as a crucial developmental phase for players gearing up for the 13th African Games scheduled in Ghana from March 5th. The Elite Games in Kampala are set to take place from 1st to 4th for the Women’s event and 5th to 13th for the Men’s event.
