In a display of unparalleled cricketing prowess, the South-South region emerged triumphant in both the male and female categories of the 5th edition of the NCFPwC National Under 17 Championship.

 

Boys Event:

The Boys’ final witnessed South South winning the toss and opting to bat, amassing a total of 129 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 32.5 overs. In response, the South West team struggled, bowled out in 26.5 overs for 79 runs, handing victory to South-South 50 runs.

 

 

In the 3rd place match, North West faced Southeast. North West posted 149 runs all out in 33.2 overs, securing a win by 24 runs as Southeast’s innings concluded at 125 runs all out in 28.0 overs.

 

Girls Event:

 

In the Girls’ final, South-South chose to bat and scored 116 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. The South East team’s innings were cut short at 18.2 overs with a total of 67 runs all out, resulting in South South’s victory by 35 runs.

 

The 3rd place match saw North West scoring 50 runs all out in 12 overs against South West’s female team, who clinched the game in 13.2 overs with 51 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. South West secured a 6-wicket win.
